The Process - Cavies

1.) Research
I highly recommend to do research on the care guinea pigs require, especially Baldwins as they are known to be a more sensitive high maintenance guinea pig. Caring for a Baldwin guinea pig involves providing a warm and safe environment, a proper diet, and specific skin care. Please refer to our care guide page to see what types of things Baldwin guinea pigs require.

2.) Sales Policy/Pricing
All of our guinea pigs will stay with us for a minimum of 8 weeks old, absolutely no exceptions. Some may stay longer if it's needed. To reserve a guinea pig we do require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost. For example if the guinea pig is $250 we will require $125 down. This deposit and any payments made can be done via Venmo or PayPal (friends & family). The remainder amount is due no later than the day before they leave our care if using a transporter. If you are picking up your guinea pig yourself the remainder may be paid the day of in person. We will not release any animals to transport without the remaining amount paid.
Sadly once they leave our care we can no longer guarantee their health. Cavies are very sensitive animals and can easily pick things up when going with a transporter, especially baldwins. This is why we highly recommend to do your diligence when picking out a transporter. We always recommend to quarantine them for at least 30 days after you receive them, this helps prevent getting other animals in your home sick. It's also important to give your pigs a once over once you have picked them up and make sure they appear healthy.

If for any reason you can no longer keep your guinea pigs please let us know and we will gladly assist you with finding them a new home or take them back!

Pricing:
Our haired carriers will range from $50-$100 and our regular Baldwins will range from $250 and up depending on gender and color.pattern.

3.) Transport
We are open to working with reliable trustworthy transporters to get your guinea pig to you anywhere in the U.S.! If you are wanting to use a transporter it is your responsibility to find a transporter that can bring them to you and to get it set up. We do ask that you confirm with us on the transporter and a general time frame of when they would be coming (month/week) so I can make sure this also works for our schedule too. We do reserve to the right to refuse working with any transport companies we don't feel comfortable working with. If for any reason you fail to meet with the transporter to pick up your guinea pig it will be brought back to us and you will forfeit anything you have paid for the guinea pig and transport fees.

IMPORTANT REMINDER:
As the Breeder we reserve the right to any guinea pigs produced in a litter as we breed for ourselves first. If at ANY POINT, we feel you are no longer a safe or right fit for our guinea pigs, we reserve the right to stop the process and no longer sell to you. Our guinea pigs’ safety and well-being is our highest priority.
